This was such a cute family. I was able to go to their families property and it was gorgeous! The girls were happy campers and my Abber Dabbers was the BEST assistant EVER!! She was making the girls smile so cute. It was fun and we enjoyed every minute.

If you have never been to Tavaputs Ranch you have to go. You can check it out here. It's absolutely breathe taking and the hospitality is incredible. It's a great get away. This bride is the ranchers daughter... I'm sure there's a song about that.... :) She is beautiful and is just as sweet as her Mama!! I've been thinking about what to write on this post for a couple days. I think I have felt so many emotions while doing these photo's that now I am all out of words. I'm not the best writer and I wish that sometimes I could put into words how I feel.
This adorable family is my sister-in-law & her children. This was a HUGE step for this family as they try to live life without the man of the house. She has dealt with tragedy with real class and dignity and I admire her for that. I can't even imagine all the emotions she has went through the past while. However it has taught me many, many lessons...... Live each day as it was your last. Love your family even more. Treat them kind. Hug them a little tighter. Don't sweat the small stuff, and if your hubby leaves his clothes all over the floor or the toilet seat up..... just smile... it's a sign he's close.

You know how it is, you prepare for your shoot, you find the perfect outfits, wonder what in the world you are going to do with you hair or if your husband is going to behave himself, if your kids are going to be crabby or even stay clean for that matter. By the time you get to the shoot you are dead tired, at the end of your rope and just want it to go smooth. You are watching the photographer chase your kids around and you think this is a disaster!! Could it get any worse? Once it's over you just hope that the photographer knew what they heck they were doing and that something good came out of that mess. I know how it goes, everyone has the same worries. For me it wondering how in the world I am going to take the picture and get my family to look at the camera and get even a half a smile. No forget the smile just have a pleasant face. I know that it's stressful and I know that men really hate it and that it's a lot of work. But in the end it's all worth it!! You see your images and how cute your kids are and sometimes even cry. (I love it when I can make my clients cry) You cry because it's over, you got some adorable pictures and you think that was worth it!! My dream is to make it a little more relaxing and fun and give you images that you will cherish your whole life. Kids grow up and mom's and dad's get old. Every portrait I have of my family and Abby is so special. It stops time..... incredible time that I can't ever get back but will cherish for a lifetime and a lifetime to come. This little guy was not so into me when I got there. But you know..... I THINK I WON!! :)

I was so excited to be able to photograph Little Mr. again. He has such fun facial expressions, it makes me laugh. I love it when people can talk with their eye brows. My Abby sure had fun with him and she worked her little girl magic and got a few smiles out of him. It's spring time on the Erwin farm and we have all kinds of babies!! I do love SPRING. We had the neatest man come and shear the sheep, he has been shearing sheep for almost 60 years. When he told us that I was shocked. That is amazing!! He had brought his grandson with him and they both sheared sheep at the same pace. Now that is incredible!! Talk about back breaking work. Thank you Mr. S. you have inspired me!

This little sweetheart was so good!! I think she only cried once and not for long. We even got her to sleep pretty easy. She was a happy little thing! At this age I love to take pictures of their features. They change so much in the first year and I love to remember just how little they really were. I remember holding Abby's little feet in my hand, then all the sudden I could only hold one little foot in my hand and now it's just her toes!! I wish they didn't grow so fast. Thank heavens that every stage has been just as fun.

Puppies!!!

I took Abby to see some puppies the first part of December. She immediately fell in love with one of them and decided that she wanted one for Christmas. There I was wondering what in the world I had just done. I was never going to have a dog, let alone in the HOUSE!!! After seeing her play with one and see how much she loved it. I gave in and we got her one for Christmas.

So this is Tug, the newest member of the Erwin family.

A basket full of puppies..... how could I tell her no?
This was probably more entertaining to watch me put the bows on them and get them in the basket before they bailed or pulled the ribbon off. hehehe Good thing I had a few extra hands!

Abby's been very good about getting him out for his exercise. Seeing how happy she is makes it worth the trouble. :)

If she gets him tired enough, this is what happens. He loves these steps however he is always rolling off of them. It's pretty funny. He won't be able to sleep on them much longer, I think he has doubled in size already.

Land Art

My husband had the opportunity to work on this land art project here in Green River, Utah. He is the one in the orange. It was designed by artist Andrew Rogers from Australia. The blocks are made of concrete and each one weighs over 4 tons. The structure is 43 feet tall. Mr. Rogers has built land art projects in many different countries. Check out his website here.

Isn't this little man a cutie pie? The innocents of a one year old is priceless. I enjoy watching them explore the world and taste a little piece of life. Little L. reminds me of my Abber's. She loved to eat everything she found outside. I'm positive she had to have ate at least a pound of sand as a toddler. Can you just imagine what a toddler is thinking. They pick up a leaf and think, this has to be good it looks a lot better than that mush mom's been shoveling in my face. :)

A few weeks ago Mrs. R. called, to see where I was living. Since I have just moved here to GR we were both excited. The R. family lives in Texas and they were making a trip to Utah and wanted to schedule a shoot. Yay me!! It's a great day here in Green River! Not only is it my birthday but my photography business is officially transferred and set up! Yay, I'm so excited!! With the kids going back to school and everyone has been shopping it's a great time to do some kids mini sessions and that is exactly what I would like to do.

We have officially moved.... AGAIN!! LP was a lot harder to leave than I had anticipated. We have made some amazing friends there. We arrived in Utah and it’s been crazy busy. We have a lot of work and changes ahead of us and we are up for the challenge.
This pretty little thing is Miss Caylee, she is another one of my beautiful nieces. I’m so blessed. I have never had the opportunity to take her picture before so it was so fun for me. My Mother’s grandkid wall will almost be complete……. Just in time for everyone to need new pictures. Dang kids grow up way to fast. 

Yep, it's an adorable Chocolate LAB!! I was a bit nervous due to the fact that this is my first pet shoot and when she told me that her dog was a lab, my heart skipped a beat.... thinking, oh my hyper... this will be a challenge!! However, I couldn't have asked for a better first pet. She was wonderful!! My sweet Abby has fallen completely in LOVE with this lab and now she wants one soooooo bad. This is the most well behaved dog I have ever seen and I am have to say that I'm not a huge dog lover but I would take Matti (the dog) home with me in a second!!! Miss J, can come too!! Miss J. you have done a fabulous job training this dog and when we get Abby one I'll be sure and call ya for some dog training!!!

After this disappointing shot, I have added a new lens to my wish list.....

Man, that list is getting LONG!!

I better start buying and stop wishing!! hahaha

I had a photography nightmare this week! I had the cutest 6 month old, we had some great shots. All excited to show her Mama. I proceeded to start a slide show using my TV and I DELETED the ENTIRE shoot!!!!!! Yes, you read that correct DELETED THE ENTIRE SHOOT!!! A million emotions ran through me and I wasn't sure what to do. Luckily Miss M. was the BEST baby EVER, and her Mama is the SWEETEST lady EVER!! We started all over and now as I go through the images I'm happy with what we have. I got to this picture and it's one of those that makes me SMILE!! It's exactly how I felt! Some times my life is like attending the University of Hard Knocks and I guess this is one of those knocks that shapes me into who I am. Life goes on and I will learn from my mistakes! It could have been a lot worse and I am thankful that it turned out ok. Thank you sooooo much to Ms. J. and Baby M for being so understanding and kind to me. My sweet Abby was so upset too but that's a whole other story!!!! Lets just say I WON'T be winning any Mother of the year awards any time soon!!

You know those pictures that you can look at and no matter how many times you have seen them they still make you smile. I hope that everyone has some of those pictures! It's my dream to make sure that every time I take pictures I get some that make you getty! I think my sweet Abby is just perfect. Not only is she cute but sweet as all get out. She makes me a better person and I have no idea how I got so lucky to have her. She is so caring and wants so bad to do her best at everything. She loves to be my model. I have caught her several times looking through magazines and practicing the poses she see's. Yep, that's where she has learned it. Makes me smile but the funny thing is she's really good at it. Yesterday I took her out for a shoot. She dressed herself, she told me how to do her hair, and she choose the locations. I just took the pictures. We had such a good time. Way to cute not to share!! Now if GAP would just call me, I could make some money off her!! Just Kidding! :)

Wow, this one was fun too! In the snow, which I love, and this set of grandparents was so cute. Wouldn't it be fun if all couples had a photo shoot together after the kids were gone. It may just help that empty nest feeling! I sure enjoyed it and I love their grand kids! What a good looking bunch! Thanks for enduring the cold with me!

I have to give them a shout out cause it was sooooo cold!! I have always wanted to do pictures in the snow but have lived in warmer places the past 8 years. Luckily GR had a lot of snow and my wish came true. Yes, it was very cold but so worth it. Not to mention that my brothers family is so easy to photograph, they are pretty awesome!

Holy cow talk about the weirdest weather!! We got to our first location and the wind was awful!! So we headed to another spot, got out and it was pretty nice. I was just shooting away when all the sudden like 65 mile an hour winds headed for us, it was like a wall of dirt, leaves, garbage cans coming right for us. The poor dad got a scrapped on his nose, we had more debris in our hair and down our pants. It was horrible!! By the time we got to our 3rd location it was cold, cold, cold!! Their pictures turned out better than I had anticipated with all that!!

Thanks M. Family you guys are tough!!

Miss M. is such a little doll. She's one of those girls that's all quiet and sweet. I just lub her! I know I sound like I just lub everyone, but I do, I REALLY DO!!
